Port Chatham Responsibility: Port Chatham assumes responsibility
for properly delivering packages to the customer address provided. We
cannot however assume responsibility for stolen or miss-addressed packages.
Next day orders may be processed and sent from the Port Chatham facility within 1 business day. We cannot assume responsibility or insure customer change requests will be enacted after this time frame for next day orders.
Include Delivery Dates: Please specify your requested order ship date from our facility, allowing 1 business day after order placement to process and send your order. If no date accompanies your order, we will process and ship your order the next business day. Please be advised that including a shipping date with your Portlock order is important and we cannot be responsible for erroneous or missing information in this regard.
Smoked Seafood - Fresh Frozen Products: These items require refrigeration
during and after delivery. By default, all perishable smoked seafood orders will ship by FedEx 1-day air method. Products shipped by this method will arrive in a semi-frozen or cool-to-the-touch state. After receipt of delivery, place these products in refrigerator or store frozen.
Shipping options
Shipping Methods: When referring to the various shipping services
below, please keep in mind that Port Chatham will process and ship all
immediate consumer in stock orders within 1 business day of order receipt and
payment, unless otherwise specified.
FedEx 1-Day: In stock orders will be shipped from our facility on the next business day unless another ship date is specified. FedEx 1-Day guarantees your package
will arrive by the end of the next business day to most U.S addresses
after leaving the Port Chatham plant. FedEx 1-Day service is the only
accepted method to ship Portlock Smoked Seafood - Fresh Frozen items.
The FedEx driver will "drop and release" all overnight perishable packages
to your recipient's doorstep if they are not at home. A signature is
not required and this is Port Chatham’s standard shipping practice.
Prior to placing your order, customers must confirm that recipients are in town/at home to receive your gift. Port Chatham does not assume reponsibility when correctly delivered packages are lost, stolen or spoil due to unavailability of gift recipient. One-day service is not offered to Hawaii or to rural Alaska.
FedEx 2-Day: In stock orders will be shipped within 1 business day
after receiving your completed order. FedEx 2-Day guarantees your package
will arrive by the end of the second business day to most U.S addresses
after leaving the Port Chatham plant. This option can expedite all Portlock
gourmet canned, boxed and non-perishable gift items. The FedEx driver
will "drop and release" all FedEx 2-Day packages to your recipient's
doorstep if they are not at home. A signature is not required and this
is Port Chatham’s standard shipping practice. Port Chatham does not assume responsibility when correctly delivered packages are lost, stolen or spoil due to unavailability of gift recipient.
FedEx Alaska and Hawaii 2-Day: Add $15 to the usual shipping charges per order for Alaska and Hawaii destinations. Perishable items cannot be delivered to Hawaii. In stock orders will be shipped within 1 business day after receiving your completed order. FedEx 2-Day guarantees your package will arrive by the end of the second business day to most U.S addresses after leaving the Port Chatham plant. This option can expedite all Portlock gourmet canned, boxed and non-perishable gift items. FedEx Ground: NON-PERISHABLE ORDERS OF $50 OR GREATER QUALIFY FOR FREE STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES! Orders will be shipped within 1 business day
after receiving your completed order. Transit times for FedEx Ground
will range from two to seven business days depending upon location.
A great way to keep costs to a minimum when shipping such items as Portlock
boxed salmon, canned items or gift baskets. The FedEx driver will "drop
and release" all FedEx Ground packages to your recipient’s doorstep
if they are not at home. A signature is not required and this is Port
Chatham’s standard shipping practice. After December 16th, please do
not select FedEx Ground service if you desire a shipping guarantee before
Christmas. Free ground shipping applies to FedEx Carrier only and does not apply to UPS or Parcel Post services.
After December 16th: Select economical FedEx 2-day air or 1-day air methods to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Selecting ground service after December 16th will not guarantee delivery before Christmas.
FedEx International: Due to current world and border conditions,
Canada is the only international country we currently service, utilizing FedEx ground method. We do not ship perishable items internationally. A standard ground shipping charge of $15.95 per order will be applied to all Canadian bound orders. Please note that when shipping across international borders, duties and taxes may be applied by the destination country and in some instances, recipients will be asked to pay these additional costs upon delivery. Port Chatham has no control over the assessment of duties, taxes or the timeliness of delivery across international borders. Portlock
ships throughout the continental United States, the Virgin Islands,
Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska.

Holiday shipping schedule and Helpful Ordering Guide:
After December 16th: Select economical FedEx 2-day air or 1-day air methods to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Selecting ground service after December 16th will not guarantee delivery before Christmas.
Perishable items Must be shipped by FedEx 1-day Air Service only.
May 1st through September 30th all perishable orders must be shipped 1-day air.
Gourmet Salmon Burgers ship independently from another plant location. 1-day air shipping with dry ice is the only approved method to ship this product.
Include Telephone Numbers: Of you and your gift recipient on
the order. This will assist in assuring that your FedEx delivery is on target, particularly
if the driver needs directions.
Include Apartment or Suite Numbers: Inaccurate or insufficient apartment
and suite numbers may delay or discontinue delivery.
Include a gift message on your order: It is our experience that many gift recipients
during the holidays do not know who sent them their gift.
